Bill graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He moved to California and worked at Kimtruss Inc. designing and drawing wood trusses for residential projects in Southern California. Bill was hired as a draftsman at the Gavin Company (a large glazing contractor in California). He worked as a draftsman and project engineer on the IBM Research Center in Almaden, CA, which at the time was an eight-million dollar contract for the exterior skin of the complex. Bill was hired at The Carvist Corporation as a project engineer and spent the last 30 years as project manager and the last 12 years as a partner.
